Every Google Gmail account comes with Free Gmail SMTP Server which allows you to use their SMTP server to send emails using your favorite email clients like Outlook, Apple mail, Thunderbird and etc.

The Default Gmail SMTP Settings

  • Gmail SMTP server address: smtp.gmail.com

  • Gmail SMTP username: Your Gmail address (e.g. username@gmail.com)

  • Gmail SMTP password: Your Gmail password

  • Gmail SMTP port (TLS): 587

    Gmail SMTP port (SSL): 465

    Gmail SMTP TLS/SSL Required: YES

Gmail SMTP Security Features

You can connect to Gmail mail servers using SMTP, SSL/TLS. If you connect using SMTP, you can only send mail to Gmail or G Suite users; if you connect using SSL/TLS, you can send mail to anyone. We suggest you to use SSL/TLS for sending emails.

Also, Google limits number of emails you can send through SMTP to 2000 emails per day.

You can also set up additional security features like two-step verification with Gmail.
