by karen minton I am a software engineer

Many users are moving from Android devices to the iPhone device. After buying a new iOS device, the first thing you have to do is to set up the iOS device. Make sure you should have the latest version of iTunes in your iPhone device.

Download iTunes in your iPhone first, and then set up your phone. If you are already a user of iPhone, then you should take a backup of your data with iCloud so that you can transfer that data after completing the setup process.

In case you are a new user of iPhone and don’t know how to set up your iOS device, then follow the given steps to get started.

1.    Setting up your iOS device

  • Start the iOS Device Screen

You have to press down the power tab provided on the right side of your iPhone screen, it all depends on your model as other iPhone models have a different setting. Move the slider to the right side to start your iPhone setup.

  • Choose Language and Region Option.

You have to put the location of that place from where you are using your new iPhone. After that, you will get an option of changing the language as per your requirement, the language you want to operate on the iOS device. Enter your current country.

Click on the language you like to set. Press the country from where you are using the iOS device; you don’t have to change that setting when you travel on some other country the setting will remain the same after that, click Next button.

Select a Wi-Fi Network to Turn on the Location Services in Your iPhone

After pairing to your home Wi-Fi network, your iOS device will show you the display of activation. Follow the given steps listed below:

•    The iPhone provides you with the mobile number linked your phone. In case that mobile number is yours, then click the Next button. If that is not your mobile number, then contact the apple customer service.

•    Type postal code to set up your company ID and enter 4-digit of the identification number and then press the Next button.

•    Click to agree on the agreement given on your screen.

2.    Turn on Location Services

It is up to you whether you want to turn on the location service in your phone or not. Location services are inbuilt already in the iOS device, and this service will help you to get the exact location of any place, search for the latest movies and hotels near your location.

Not everyone likes to have this feature on their phone, so they wish to disable this service. But when you use this application, you will find it very useful.

3.    Password Security

  • Touch ID

You will get this TouchID option in the latest versions of iPhone. This is that password security where you have to use your finger to unlock the iOS device, and you can not only unlock the phone you can also use your fingerprint in Apple Pay app.

  • Passcode

The other option to unlock the iPhone you can choose is to set a password. This is a numerical code of 6-digit, and you can choose that digit as per your wish.
