by PFOkUS F. Buy Frameless Shower Door Sweep

Water leaks from beneath the glass shower doors are acommon hurdle in most households. If water spills and leaks are flooding your shower floor then you must pay immediate attention to avoid the growth of mold and bacteria on the wet surface. In order to keep your shower floor dry you need a little thing which will literally sweep away the leakage menace.  These spaces between the frameless shower door and the shower floor can be efficiently fixed by sweeps, thresholds or by shower door drip rails.

Shower door leaks are commonly caused due to poor functionality of door seals. Shower door seals wear out and damage as a result of aging. This makes the strip at the bottom to crack and break open. The solution for this problem is substituting old and damaged seal with new, high quality and tight gripping framed glass shower door seal.

Isn’t it more economical to substitute a drip rail seal rather than the entire drip rail? pFOkUS’ durable shower door drip rail seals are sleek and stylish than before. They are effectively thinner and lighter as they are carved out of most flexible material. Our framed shower door drip seals are available in a wide range of sizes and colors.

Procedure to Replace Framed Shower Door Seal

-        Observe the bottom of the shower door to determine if the seal attachment is cracked or broken. Seals usually slide into a rail at the bottom of the door or they are positioned amidst the base of the door and the metal drip rail.

-            Gently openthe metal drip rail if required, so that it becomes easy for the seal to gain access. The rail is fixated to the framed shower door with the help of screws. If you are dealing with a channel-style seal, then you must pull the old sweep out of the rail channel. By using needle-nose pliers to grab the strip and drag it out, if needed.

-          Further, you can use a wet rag to clean the framed shower door drip seal channel and bottom rail to eliminate dirt and soap scum or any residue. If there is heavy grime buildup around the drip rail then you can remove it using a cleaner. Once, it is spotlessly clean, it can be wiped dry with a clean rag.

-          Glide the new shower door seal into the channel, using the pliers to pull it into place if necessary. Cut the excess seal length after matching it with the edge of the door with the help of a box cutter knife.
