Defrost and Empty- To
start with the packing of fridge, you will first have to defrost it and empty
it all. You should take out all the vegetables, fruits, and other items kept in
the fridge. Of course, you will have to empty it all and cannot leave anything
inside of it. You got to pull out all the trays, sliders, ice trays, bottle
compartments and all that is detachable. To keep your fridge in the safe
condition while it is being relocated, you will have to keep it all empty.
Clean the parts- After
taking out every part of it, you better clean them all before preparing them
for moving. Clean out all that grease, oil, spilled sauces, milk and anything
that has made your fridge parts dirty. You can clean it with a surface cleaner
or with a mild detergent. Wipe it with a wet cloth and let it dry. You can even
keep all the fridge parts in the sun, so that the smell vanishes.
Donate perishable items- All
items that you know will perish while you are moving must be donated. You can
give away these items to your relatives and friends who are staying near your
place. On the other hand, the items that have exceeded their shelf life must be
discarded right there and then. You should be smart enough to sort out all the
items as quickly as you can. Also, the things that need to be kept in cold
temperature must be kept in the cooler. You can invest in buying a cooler.
