How to merge CRM system implementation with your existing systems

by Carl Womack Software Development & IT Product Marketing

Integrating the CRM with third-party apps helps you to boost sales and support efficiency for your enterprise and encourages you to use additional features not included in your CRM. This can help you transfer info, text, connect through social media, talk and any other resources that influence how you handle sales and customers. You will determine what you integrate at this point–some integrations may need to wait until you're finished deciding.

Third-party Apps:

Contacts, companies, and documents can be transferred from a different source in several ways, depending on the ability of your CRM. A CSV file is the most common alternative, but it depends on the strength of the software to scan data from one platform to another. Some CRMs provide data migration resources for third parties, which are also based on the CSV format but which are configured for a "handshake" user-specific software.

Email integration:

Email integration with popular platforms such as Gmail and Outlook should be straightforward. CRM should include emails sent and received in both places with CRM contacts to track conversations, including basic email functionality. You can also contact the CRM directly to find out when an email has been received.

Social media:

Teams who want to add a social sales component to their tools can add additional, contextual insights to help prospecting and customer service by connecting them to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. This feature does not include all CRMs and those with varying capacity for social communication from the CRM system implementation , for example.
