How to manage McAfee VirusScan quarantined files?

what’s the best about it? It not only provides full scanning but also partial
scanning of all your devices, which other antivirus fails to provide.
The quarantined files
are a function of antivirus software which isolates the infected files on the
System’s hard disk. Once the files are put into the quarantine, they are no
more capable to infect their hosting system. And once the quarantine files are
cleaned can’t be restored back into the location.
Check out the ways as
listed below to manage the quarantine file in McAfee VirusScan-
1.
Click on the
icon of ‘McAfee’.

Choose
‘VirusScan’.
3.
Click the
‘Manage the quarantined files’.
4.
Select the files
you wanted to clean-
Note-
If multiple file names appear in the list then select the checkbox next to the
‘File name’ list to perform the same function for all the files. You can click
the virus name in the ‘Status list’. Or Click on the option ‘Add’ to select the
infected file to add to the quarantined file.
5.
Click on the
option ‘Clean’.
6.
Select ‘Restore’
to move back to the original location, if the file is cleaned.
7.
Click on the
option ‘Delete’ if the McAfee VirusScan can’t remove the file.
8.
If McAfee
VirusScan fails to clean or remove the infected files and if the files aren’t
Potentially Unwanted Program then you can submit it to the McAfee AntiVirus
Emergency Response Team (AVERT)
o If the files are more than 2 weeks old then update
the virus signature files.
o Confirm the subscription.
o Select the AVERT file that needs to be submitted
then click on the option ‘Submit’.

visit McAfee.com/activate link.

Choose the
option ‘Cancel’ to close the dialog box.
