It's always a great feeling to be in Orlando, also known as the 'Theme Park Capital of the World'. However, theme parks are not the only attractions in this city. There are many other interesting places to visit while holidaying in this part of the world. One thing that visitors to this American city can expect is loads of fun, as there are some fabulous options in themed entertainment for the entire family to choose from. Today, Orlando is one of the world's most-visited destinations with 7 of the North American region's most-visited theme parks. Most of the theme parks in this city are located along the International Drive or the I-Drive.

Your Orlando holidays would give you the opportunity to explore its exciting theme parks. Among them is Universal Studios, which comprises Universal's Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. You can delve into the world of movies at the studios and get your dose of thrills on the theme-based rides and other attractions in the Islands of Adventure. Shopping, dining, and other wonderful experiences can be enjoyed while exploring a massive entertainment complex called City Walk, which is also a part of Universal Studios.

During your cheap Orlando holidays, you can visit the 'Basilica of Mary, Queen of the Universe'. Built in the late-20th century, this is a large church with impressive stained-glass windows and an 8-feet-tall statue of Mary. This statue was created by the renowned sculptor, Jill Burkee. Yet another attractive statue you'll come across during your visit to this basilica is of the Mother and Child. It was sculpted by Jerzy S. Kenar, a well-known Polish-American sculptor. While in this church, you'll also find a museum that houses religious sculptures, paintings, and a relic of Saint Desiderius.

A visit to the Orlando Science Center would make your cheap Orlando holidays truly memorable. It is an interesting place with a wide range of themed exhibits that give you some insights into mechanics, biology, applied technology and other branches of science. Touring exhibits also find a place in Orlando Science Center and attract many curious visitors. If you're on a holiday with your children, they'll have a wonderful time in a section of this complex called 'Kids Town', which has some interactive exhibits. Also worth visiting is the Dr. Phillips CineDome that hosts fascinating large-format films and laser shows.

While holidaying in Orlando with your family, you must never miss SeaWorld. It is one of the world's largest marine parks and has extensive rides, massive aquariums, touch pools, and whale and dolphin shows. This marine park is visited by large crowds of families who enjoy interacting closely with dolphins and other aquatic beings. You would also enjoy your time spent at the Walt Disney World, which is officially called the Walt Disney World Resort. Opened in 1971, it has become a favourite among the tourists and locals alike. Both children and their parents would have an exciting time in its theme parks, such as Animal Kingdom, Epcot Theme Park, Magic Kingdom, and MGM Studios.
