Making ghee at home has been an age-old Indian household tradition. From ancient times the middle-eastern countries have been using ghee for their daily cooking and other purposes. Today we will discuss how to make pure ghee at home easily. This article will guide you to make your own ghee at home that is completely natural.
Let's have a quick look at the ghee making procedure -
Ghee is made from pure unsalted dairy butter so the first step will be to collect unsalted pure cow milk butter.
Heat a pot with a thick bottom and let the butter melt on a medium flame. Stir it continuously.
It’s time to reduce the flame and let it boil in a slow-cooking method until the butter begins to change from yellow to light golden.
You will see the milk solids have settled at the bottom and the bubbles on the top.
Allow the mixture to get cool for 10 minutes and the brown milk solids will come at the bottom of the pot.
Now take a strainer and strain the milk solids and store them in a tight container. To get the granular texture and nutty aroma, take the process a step further. Let the milk solids caramelize and turn brown and you will get pure ghee.
