In order to make the crosses you will need flour, vegetable oil and golden syrup.

Cooking.

First, put flour, salt and spice in a big bowl. Then add some spices. Take some butter and rub it into the flour paste. Make a well shape. Then add sugar and lemon zest in the centre of that well shape. Add some yeast in the mixture.

Take the egg, beat it and then add it to the flour. Pours some milk. Use your hands to form a puffy dough.

Prepare your table. Sprinkle some flour upon it. Then take the dough and place it on the flour surface. That way the dough won't be sticky. Add the dried fruits and continue pugging. Knead for around 5 minutes.

Tear the dough into 12 equal pieces. Make a ball out of each piece. Flatten each ball into a bun shape. Take a tea towel and cover the buns. Set them aside for around 10 minutes. Take your baking tray and add butter to it. Move all the buns in the prepared baking tray. Place the buns in a big polyethene bag. Preheat the oven to 240C.

To make the crosses, you will need to mix plain flour and water to form a smooth paste.

When the buns are risen, you need to quickly remove the bag from them. Pour the flour topping over each bun.

Mix some water and sugar together in a small pan on low heat. Stir until sugar dissolves. Brush the mix over the buns. Serve the pieces warm.

Enjoy the delicious hot cross buns. Happy Easter.
