Making Google as Homepage in any of your web browsers is useful and it is simple to do so. When you open the browser, you will be directly lead to Google. You can also use the Home button to quickly and directly go to Google.

Here are the guidelines to set Google as HomePage in some popular web browsers. If you want to make Google as homepage in your web browser, then follow the steps of the browser you use.

Steps to make Google as Homepage in Safari

  1. Open ‘Safari’ browser on your Mac.
  2. Click ‘Safari.’ It is on the top-left corner in the menu bar.
  3. Click on ‘Preferences’ from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on ‘General’ tab at the upper-left corner in the preferences window.
  5. Now, click on ‘Homepage’ text field.
  6. And type ‘www.google.com.’
  7. Press ‘Return’ key on your keyboard.
  8. Click ‘Change Homepage’ when confirming window will appears.

Doing this will confirm and set Google as homepage in your Safari browser.

Steps to make Google as Homepage in Google Chrome

  1. Open ‘Google Chrome’ on your PC.
  2. Click on ‘Three dots’ icon at the top-right corner of Chrome Window.
  3. Click ‘Settings’ in the drop-down menu.
  4. Scroll to ‘Appearance’ Section in settings.
  5. Click on ‘Show home button.’
  6. Now, click into the ‘Enter custom web address’ field below to the ‘Show home button.’
  7. Clear and type ‘www.google.com’ into the field.
  8. Click the circle left to the text field or Press ‘Enter/Return’ button of your keyboard.

Doing this will set Google as the homepage of your Chrome browser.

 

Steps to make Google as Homepage in Firefox

  1. Open ‘Firefox’ on your PC.
  2. Click on ‘Three lines’ icon at the top-right corner of Firefox Window.
  3. Click on the option ‘Preferences’ in the drop-down menu.
  4. Now, click on the ‘General’ tab near the upper-left corner of the Options page.
  5. Click on the Home Page ‘text field’ in the Startup section.
  6. And type ‘google’ into the text field.
  7. Click on https://www.google.com/ with ‘Google’ icon next to it from the several options in the drop-down menu.

Doing this will set Google as the homepage of your Firefox browser.

Steps to make Google as Homepage in Microsoft Edge

  1. Open ‘Microsoft Edge’ browser on your PC.
  2. Click on ‘Three dots’ icon at the top-right corner of Edge Window.
  3. Click ‘Settings’ at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
  4. Scroll toward the bottom of the settings menu and click on ‘View advanced settings.’
  5. Turn on the ‘Switch’ of Show the home button to enable the Home button. Ignore if it is already enabled.
  6. Now, click the ‘Start page’ written box. It is just below to the Home button switch.
  7. Select ‘A specific page’ in the drop-down menu.
  8. Click on the ‘Enter a URL’ text box just below to the drop-down box.
  9. Type ‘www.google.com’ into the text box.
  10. Press ‘Enter’ or click the ‘Floppy disc’ icon next to the box.

Doing this will set Google as the homepage of your Edge browser.

Steps to make Google as Homepage in Internet Explorer

  1. Open ‘Internet Explorer.’
  2. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon at the top-right corner of Internet Explorer Window.
  3. Click on the ‘Internet options’ at the bottom of the drop-down settings menu.
  4. Click on ‘General’ tab at the top-left corner of the Internet Options Window.
  5. Now, Type ‘www.google.com’ into the text box of Homepage.
  6. Click ‘Apply.’
  7. And then click ‘OK.’

Doing this will set Google as the homepage of your Internet Explorer browser.
