How to Make A Spacious Theme Demo with Magee WordPress theme

If you have found WordPress themes in WordPress.Org, you may find the Spacious demo is really good. Do you want to create a homepage like the demo? If so, this document may help you. Here, you will learn how to create a Spacious demo homepage with Magee theme.

1. Slider

After you publish the slider, you can insert the slider to your homepage. Here, you just need to click the Shortcodes button, select the Slider, then choose the slider you published, hit Insert shortcode. Now, the slider is insert to your homepage.

2. Slogan

With shortcode in Magee theme, you can also insert slogan to the homepage: Select the Slogan when you open the Shortcode generator, and finish the settings.

3. Features section

This section needs to do something more. You need to insert a row with three columns first. Open the shortcode generator to insert a row and three columns inside.

This section is indeed a row of three items. To add this section, we need use a new shortcode “Row” . We need firstly insert a row and then insert columns inside this row.
Step 1. Open the shortcodes generator, select Row, you will get this code [row][/row] (you can directly input this code when you insert a row of items below).
Step 2. Likely, insert the column code to the “Row”, as there are three items, you need to set the width as 4/12 in the medium grid. Then input your content, and hit Insert shortcode button at last.
Step 3. Add content. Select Service shortcode, and then input necessary content. Note the icon should be from Font Awesome Icons.
Step 3. Add two more columns like that in Step 2.

4. Testimonial
The next section is testimonial and a post. Now, you need insert two columns in a row, with the column width 6/12.

Step 1. Post column
Here you need to upload an image first, and then add some texts, put a “Read more” link at last.
Step 2. Testimonial section
As testimonial shortcode is available, you just need to insert the shortcodes to add two pieces of testimonial here. The default example there has shown you how to add testimonials.

5. Other sections
The following sections are a blog list section and a portfolio section, they are also quite easy to insert to the homepage with shortcodes.

Two tips you need to remember are that : 1. when you insert columns, you need to insert a row first;
2. you need to add divider code between sections.
