How to Install a VFD Cable

vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) device is installed into an open drive bay on your computer that acts as a receiver, which shows media information and system specifications. The VFD cable is a 24-pin extension cable that allows you to power on or off your VFD using the remote control. You also have the option of tweaking the standby power supply allowing access to the VFD receiver's power. This enables the powering on of your PC after pressing the appropriate button on the remote control

Instructions

Screw your VFD device in behind the included acrylic glass by tightening four screws, one at each corner. Put the rubber rings, attached to the base of the VFD, between the glass and the VFD to prevent scratching.

Plug in the blue and white cable from the "Power On" and "Stand-by" button to the red and black cable connector on the VFD device.

Plug the red and black cable from the VFD device into the motherboard's power switch connector.

Connect the 4-pin connection on the VFD device into the 4-pin power adapter connector.   dreambox dm8000

Plug the power cable adapter into your power supply and motherboard.

Connect your VFD device to an available USB slot on your motherboard using the supplied USB cable.

Insert the installation CD into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive to launch the installation wizard. Click "Next" to begin the install. Your VFD will light up after installing the drivers and software
