How to Hire the Best Steel Design Engineer in Nigeria

Whether it comes to a steel structure or any other structure, the importance of an engineer cannot be underestimated. Whether you’re hiring your first or hundredth Steel Design Engineer in Nigeria, you can construct a recruiting pipeline to explore, interview, and recruit quality candidates at scale. Let’s discover those significant things.

 

Utilize many candidate sources. Recruiting eventually becomes a numbers game. Augment your chances of “winning” by improving the top of your funnel. 

 

  1. Search the right thingsAssessment is a quintessential part of the recruiting process. Preferably you can emerge a methodology that enables you to differentiate 1x from 10x from 100x engineers. While evaluating candidates’ technical proficiencies is a no brainer, you should also think about a few other skills/traits that are- grit, rigor, impact, teamwork, ownership, curiosity, and polish.   1. Offer them a healthy culture. Every employee wishes to work in a balanced environment. If you don’t have one, you won’t be able to hire the best engineers. No engineer would ever wish to work in a disrupted environment.

 

  1. Construct your reputation. Reputation cannot be overlooked when it comes to a job seeker who is looking for a suitable job in his/her field. Your organization’s, your team’s, and your personal reputation. All play a significant role and will aid you to recruit great talent. The better your reputation, the more appropriate candidates will find you.

 

  1. Sell and express the truth. You need to “sell” candidates from the first contact. Amp up your career site and company profile. Express your company vision and culture during the first phone screen. Give them a space to learn that the candidate wants from their new job and tell them how your team/company can offer it. That being said, at no point exaggerate, tell half-truths, or lie outright. You want candidates to join your organization because they’re really thrilled about the opportunity of working in your firm and it’s in their best interest, not because you deceived them. 

 

Steel designs cannot be made by anyone. Best designs can only be composed of qualified and proficient engineers who understand what clients want in the designs.
