How To Get The Most Of Your Israel Vacation

by Kosher River Cruise Kosher Tour Operator

Israel is a great place to visit, especially for a Jewish vacation. The weather is fantastic, the people are friendly, and there are so many diverse attractions to see in Israel which makes it a perfect travel destination.

The food in Israel has something for everyone and you can find delicious cuisine from all walks of life, from street food and soup bars to hipster restaurants, sushi bars and even upscale French cuisine. If you like historical sites then the “old city” of Jerusalem will surely impress you with its old and mysterious walls that have seen thousands of years of history.

Jerusalem, Israel

Below are some tips to travel to Israel in style:

Visit the Promenade

The perfect place to begin your trip to Israel, the promenade is where you can learn more about the history of Israel while enjoying a beautiful view. For example, there are historical sites that have been preserved, like an old train station and a Turkish fortress. There's also plenty of information about modern events and famous figures in Israeli history.

In addition to its historical significance, this is a great spot to just relax and enjoy being outside. You might see some joggers running along the beach, or people playing sports such as basketball or soccer. There's even an amphitheater with performances on most days during the summer!

Walk along the promenade and you’ll find yourself surrounded by beautiful nature that will make any vacation feel like paradise: palm trees lining up against each other in rows for miles and miles; birds chirping happily as they soar above their nests made out of grasses found near lakeshores; flowers blooming all year round thanks to Israel’s temperate climate; lush greenery everywhere, with many different species of trees including olive trees which were once planted here because they could survive drought conditions better than other types.

The best time to visit Tel Aviv is between November-March when there's no rain at all--or if you'd rather go during winter months when there isn't much humidity either way it doesn't matter because temperatures remain mild year around so no need for heavy jackets here!

Visit the Western Wall

The Western Wall is the most iconic site in Israel. It is a beautiful place to pray, reflect and connect with your spirituality. In addition to having many historic and religious sites, Jerusalem is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. It is a vibrant city where you will find an eclectic mix of ethnicities, cultures, languages and religions all coexisting peacefully together. It truly is a unique city unlike any other in the world!

The Western Wall is located inside of Jerusalem’s Old City which can be accessed via a short walk from Jaffa Gate or through one of several tunnels leading into the Old City from different directions. There are also many other famous landmarks located within walking distance such as The Temple Mount & Dome Of The Rock Mosque or Church Of The Holy Sepulchre. You may want to set aside an entire day just for exploring this area because there’s so much history packed in such close proximity!

Take a dip in the Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is a salt lake that lies between Israel, Jordan and the West Bank. It sits at 1,407 feet below sea level, making it the lowest place on Earth. Despite its name, the Dead Sea isn't a sea at all—it's a massive body of water that receives water from underground springs and rivers but has no outlet to an ocean.

The Dead Sea is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Israel, as visitors can float in its high-density waters without fear of drowning or getting their hair wet (the minerals make it impossible for hair to become completely saturated). The Dead Sea is also the source of salt deposits and minerals such as bromine that are used in cosmetics and industrial applications.

Walk through the winding streets of Tsfat

Tsfat, also known as Safed or Tzefat is a small city in Northern Israel and part of Galilee that has a long history as both a spiritual center and an artistic one. It is located on the slopes of Mt. Canaan (also called Mt. Meron). The mystical aura of Tsfat can still be felt today as you walk along its narrow alleyways, visit its synagogues, art galleries and herb shops. The Old City and the surrounding area are very picturesque with many beautiful views to enjoy either while walking along the paths or while having lunch at one of the restaurants with lovely views above the city.

Tsfat is not just known for its spiritual side but also for its art scene which evolved from two waves of immigration: artists who settled there after World War II and most recently by hippies who settled there during the 1970s when northern Israel was very affordable to live in compared to other cities in Israel such as Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.

Visit Tel Aviv's Independence Hall

Tel Aviv's Independence Hall, also known as the Dizengoff House, is a museum that tells the story of Israel's declaration of independence. It is located on 16 Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv.

In addition to its historical importance, Independence Hall offers visitors an opportunity to learn about Tel Aviv's early beginnings as well as how it has developed over time into a modern metropolis. Tours are available in English, Hebrew, Russian and French (bookings can be made online). Entrance is free but donations are welcome.

These are only some of the best things to see and do when visiting israel. You can even experience a glatt kosher tour if you want during your stay there.
