How to Fix Unfortunately Android Keyboard has Stopped Error?

Reboot the Keyboard

 

1.     Navigate to the Settings of the device.

2.     After that, choose the option of Apps.

3.     Then find the ‘Android Keyboard’ within the apps list.

4.     Thereafter, locate the option to ‘Force Stop the app.’

5.     Finally, shut the settings and open the Keyboard once again to check whether it works.

 

Remove Cache and Data for the Keyboard

4.     Later, choose the option of Storage.

5.     You will view the options to clear cache and clear data.

6.     Select the respective options.

Update the Keyboard Application

 

1.     You should launch the Play Store on your device.

2.     After that, tap on the hamburger menu icon at the upper left side of the screen.

3.     Then choose the option of ‘My Apps and Games.’

4.     Afterwards, browse for the Keyboard application then look whether there are any awaiting updates.

5.     In case Yes, then choose the button of Update.

 

Update the OS

 

1.     Navigate to the Settings on the device.

2.     After that, choose the option of About Device.

3.     You will locate an option to Check for ‘Software Updates.’

4.     Finally, whether you locate that software update is applicable, then select the option of update.

5.     Now, you have to wait for a moment for the update to download.

6.     Then reboot the device.

 

Reboot the Device in Safe Mode

 

1.     Hold the Power button until you see the power option.

2.     When you see it, hold it until you see a prompt asking you to Restart in safe mode.

3.     You should choose the okay button then the device will start rebooting and restarting into safe mode.

 

Run a Factory Reset on the Mobile

 

1.     Navigate to the Settings option of the mobile.

2.     After that, select the option of ‘Backup and Reset.’

3.     Now, whether you have not already backed up the data, then select the option of ‘Backup your data’ to apply the data on Google Drive.

4.     Then choose the option of ‘Reset Phone.’

5.     Finally, after rebooting the device once again, try to use the keyboard.
