  • Then enter ”.old” at the ending name of the file. 

  • Now click anywhere to save the name of the file. 

  • Lastly, try re-updating the QuickBooks & check if the QuickBooks error 1328 is resolved. 


Method 2: Take help from the Install Diagnostic Tools of QuickBooks

There are two steps in this re-solving method

  1. Download the tool hub of QuickBooks

  • Install the tool hub of QuickBooks from the official website of Intuit.

  • Then run the file “.exe” by going to the download folder.

  • Comply with the instructions on the screen to run the tool hub of QuickBooks.

  • Accept the T&C shown by ticking the checkbox.

  • After the installation process is complete, the tool hub icon of QuickBooks will be visible on the desktop.

Method 5: Check the System File by Using the File Checker

  • Go to the start button & search “cmd.”

  • The user is required to run CMD being an admin by right-clicking on the icon and selecting the option “Run as Administrator.”

  • Type “SFC/scan now” inside the command prompt window & click on Enter.

  • This process will launch the Computer File Checker to verify the presence of any problem inside the files.

  • After the process is complete, shut the windows & open QuickBooks desktop. Then, try to update again through the help menu & check if the error is resolved.
