If your iPhone is not able to get network signals, then this means you would not be able to get basic tasks like messaging or calling done. • Damaged SIM Card.
  • Areas with low/no network coverage.
  • Software bug.
  • Misplacement of SIM tray.

Before following any of the given steps, you should try to go to an area with better network coverage or make sure that your account is active or not.

Fixes for No Service Problem on iPhone

  1. Switch the Airplane Mode

The most basic fix for the problem could be to switch on and off the Airplane mode. You can go to Settings-General-Airplane Mode. Switch it On and wait for a minute. Then switch it Off. The alternative way is through the control center.

  • Swipe up the screen from the bottom, and you will see the control center.
  • Press on the Airplane icon on the top left side to switch it On.
  • Wait a minute and then switch it Off.
  • Toggle up the Cellular Data
  • Make sure that the cellular data is switched on. If not, then you can go to Settings-Cellular-Cellular Data.

If you are abroad, then make sure that you have turned the Data Roaming Mode On. You can do this through Settings-Cellular- Data Roaming.

  • Date and Time Settings

You should make sure that the Date and Time settings on your device are according to your time zone. You can:

  • Connect the device to Wi-Fi.
  • Open the Settings tab.
  • Locate General and then Date and Time.
  • Switch on Set Automatically.
  • Reboot/Restart the iPhone

One of the most basic solutions for every electronic device is just to restart it. The same goes for your iPhone.

  • Hold down the Sleep button.
  • Drag the slider from left to right.
  • Wait at least a minute after the device is shut down.
  • Turn it back on by holding down the sleep button.
  • Change Network Preference/ Voice and Data

Switching up the network preferences can fix the issue.

  • Open the Settings tab and choose Cellular.
  • Tap on Cellular Data Option and then Voice and Data.
  • Switch the network. If you use 4G, then switch to 3G and vice versa.
  • Carrier Settings Update

The service network provider offers carrier settings for functions like calling, texting, and data connection. To update the settings:

  • Connect to a stable Data Connection.
  • Head to Settings-General-About.
  • There will be a notification if there is an update available.
  • Reinsert the SIM card

You can do the same by:

  • Taking out the SIM tray.
  • Taking the SIM out and putting it back correctly.
  • Reinsert the tray back.

Make sure that the SIM card is not physically damaged. You should also try to put the SIM card in other devices to check if it is actually working or not.

  • Update the Device

You should always keep your iOS updated as it enhances your device’s performance and security. You can update the device by:

  • Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Open the Settings-General-Software Update.
  • Check if there is an update available or not.
  • Tap on Download and install the update.
  • Reset All Settings

This method would not wipe your device’s data or media.

  • Open the Settings-General-Reset.
  • Reset All Settings and enter the password if needed.
  • Confirm the action.
  • Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings

You can connect the device to iTunes and restore it to Factory Settings. This step will wipe the data, so you are advised to back up the data first.

  • Connect to a stable Wi-Fi and make sure you have the latest iTunes version.
  • Connect the device to a PC with a lightning cable.
  • Tap Restore on the Summary option.
  • iTunes will process the Firmware first so you should wait it out.
  • After the process is done, set the device as a new device.

It's necessary for us to check whether the SIM is installed properly without problem. Also, we can force restart to see if the device can go back to normal. If all above methods are tried but in vain, we can also fix iPhone no service using a iOS repair tool, such as Joyoshare UltFix ios system recovery. Or something similar in current market.
