Google Play store not working brings a lot of issues with it like you are not able to update or download anything from the store. Although there is no particular fix to solve the issue of Google Play store not working, but there are some tricks which will surely help you out.

First of all, check if the problem is from user’s end, then follow the below fixes.

· Force close Google Play store: force close Google Play store by swiping away the Google Play store on your multi-tasking app switcher. Another way is to go to settings and then apps, select all and access the Google Play Store. Click Force stop.

· Turn on Airplane mode: turn on airplane mode and then turn it off. This will solve the issue.

· Turn Wi-Fi off and on: toggle your Wi-Fi on and off to check if there is any connection issue.

· Restart the router: restart your router, sometimes it solves the issues like this.

· Restart your phone: a simple reboot fixes many issues. Restarting your phone may fix this issue and your Google play store will start working normally now.

· Wipe out the cache of Google Play store: many times, the older data pile up and reduces the data storage. From settings go to Apps and look for Google play store, click on it. Select “clear cache” from the options that appear.

· Delete Google play store data: Go to settings and navigate to App manager. Select “Clear data” from Google play store.

· Check out the disabled apps: see if you have disabled any app recently. From settings go to apps and then all. Look for disabled services and enable if you find any.

· Check the data and time settings: many times, Google servers have problem in synchronizing with date and time settings. Put them on automatic.

· Remove proxy or VPN settings: to deactivate proxy settings go to Wi-Fi and long press on your router name. Click on “Advanced”. For VPN settings, go to More in the Wireless & Networks section.

· Uninstall the updates: go to the settings. Click on Apps and select Google Play Store. Tap on Uninstall updates. This can be updated again whenever you want.

· Failure of Google Play services: many times, it happens that Google play services have failed. Clear cache and data for Google Play services on the App manager.

· Remove your Google account and re-enter again: go to the settings and then Accounts. Select your Google account. Click on the three-dot menu icon and select Remove. Add your Google account again.

All of the above fixes are simple and you can use them without any technical help to solve the issue of Google Play store not working.
