How to Fix Error Code 37 Windows Cannot Initialize the Device Driver

This article is a straightforward guide to solve the 37 error code, Device Manager. The error message incomplete form may appear like this– “Window OS can’t access the Device Driver for this hardware”. Any hardware equipment connected to your system could account for this problem. Many times the error appears due to memory storage drives like DVD, CD, and Blu-ray. In some cases, it is also a result of issues related to a connected USB drive or even a graphics card.

Solution 1: Rebooting the PC
In most cases, the 37 error is just appeared due to small hardware or software malfunction. The error message sometimes can be fixed simply by restarting the PC.
Solution 2: Scan the system for Virus to Solve driver Code 37
Not in every case, but the Code 37 error could happen due to malware attack or a tough virus. If that’s the case, then take a thorough scan your system before heading to the more advanced methods. See the instructions mentioned down here to fix the code 37 on Device Manager:
  1. Head to the Windows Security application. To do this, head to Settings.
  2. Then head to the Update & Security option.
  3. Navigate to the Windows Security option.
  4. Go to the Open Windows Security link.

  6. Press on the Scan link.
  7. Choose a Full scan.
  8. At last, press the Scan option.
  9. Wait until the process ends and then apply the most appropriate action to remove the threats.

Solution 3: Reinstalling the Corrupted Device Driver

  3. Next, select the Uninstall device link.

  5. Once the problematic driver removes, head to the Action.
  6. Hit the option saying Scan for hardware changes.
  7. Obey to the onscreen steps.
  8. The OS will sense and install the device driver automatically again on your computer. The program might ask you to choose a way to install the driver. So if asked, then do so.
