Whenever any copy of Windows is installed on any computer, then it directly gets into a grace period. This means that anyone can use the Windows without even any restrictions on its features. Sometimes, when using the computer system, if you are receiving any error code message such as 0Xc004f009, then it means that your grace period has expired. Steps to Fix Error Code 0XC004F009 in Windows 10?

You can solve this method by following two different methods. From both the given methods one of them will help you in fixing this issue. The steps are as follows:

Method-1: Activate Windows by using the Command Line Tool

  1. Firstly, you have to obtain your MAK key direct from the IT admin.
  2. Then, launch an Elevated Command Prompt.
  3. After that, type and run the following key in the command window to install the product key or replace the older one:
  • vbs –ipk <your mak key>
  1. Again, type the following command:
  • vbs –ato
  1. Then, press Enter key.
  2. Finally, this will automatically activate the Windows after connecting to the Microsoft servers.

Method-2: Increase Grace Period

To fix this issue, you can also increase the grace period, but after increased the grace period you will have to get any other genuine Windows key. It might also be possible that you have a MAK key and you didn’t activate it. Thus the MAK keys are not recycled, the number of activation on this has already exceeded. Here the process of how you can get the grace period:

  1. Launch the Registry Editor as an admin.
  2. Navigate to the given key:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\OOBE\mediabootinstall
  1. Now, change the value of mediabootinstall to 0.
  2. After that, pen command with the elevated privileges, type the following command:
  • slmgr -rearm
  1. Click on the Enter Key.
  2. Restart your computer system for the changes to take effects.

Congratulations, grace period now added to your activation.
