1) Downloading Microsoft Troubleshooter

Here are the steps on how to downloading Microsoft troubleshooter:

  1. Launch Windows 8 or 10 devices.
  2. Download Windows 8, and 10 troubleshoot applications on your device from Microsoft official website.
  3. Left tap on the “Save File” features.
  4. Left click on Ok option.
  5. Now are come on the window where you need to replace the directory to where you wish to download the application.
  6. After you select the directory left tap on the “Save” option.
  7. When the app is downloaded, visit the location where you have saved it and the double tap on the file that is available there.
  8. Launch the application.
  9. When the troubleshooting application finished, you need to restart your Windows 8 and 10.
  10. Now use your camera to check the issue resolved.

2) Turn off Firewall

Here are the steps on how to turn off the firewall:

  1. Navigate the mouse cursor on the top of the screen.
  2. When the charms bar start, you have to tap on the search features.
  3. In the search field type “firewall.”
  4. When the search is complete left tap on the “Windows Firewall” logo.
  5. Left tap on the “Turn Windows Firewall” off or on features.
  6. If you asked, then enter your administrator ID password.
  7. Left tap on the “Turn Windows firewall off” feature.
  8. Left tap on Ok option.
  9. Now check still you are facing “camera is being used by another application” problem.

3) Update Microsoft Store Application

Here are the steps on how to updating Microsoft Store application:

  1. Check on Microsoft Windows Store for updates for the application.
  2. If there are the latest updates available for the application, then download and install on your device and update your application.

4) Uninstall Problematic Application

Here are the steps on how to uninstall the problematic application:

  1. Right-tap on the application that the camera you wish to use.
  2. Left tap on the “uninstall” option.
  3. Left tap again on the “uninstall” option on the next screen.
  4. Left tap on the “Store” and then wait until the uninstall process completed.
  5. Left tap on the “Account” button.
  6. Left tap on “My application.”
  7. Left tap on the application that you uninstalled and then left tap on the “install” features.
  8. When the application downloads, check if the issue is resolved.

5) Change in Camera Privacy settings

Here are the steps on how to change in camera privacy settings:

  1. Visit the settings.
  2. Tap on Privacy.
  3. Visit the camera.
  4. Enable Lets application to use my camera.
  5. Choose the application you want to use.
