How to find a job in one day

by Anna Fowler Internet Marketing

To find a good job is really difficult as the trend today is the more educated, experienced and talented candidate has to wait for long to get selected. It is necessary to understand the market before job search. Here are several ways to find a job.

1) The two main requirements for job search are to understand the job market and the kind of job you are fit into. Then go ahead for job search.

2) Before applying for a job, ensure that your resume is complete and up to date. Provide accurate and correct details. Never lie on your resume as later you have to pay for it. Do not explain everything rather keep it precise but understandable. Keep it in proper format and after all this, get it proofread by a professional.

3) Build a strong network as the companies rely more on referrals. List down all your acquaintances including your friends and relatives and brief them about your skill, qualifications and experience and tell them to recommend you for suitable position.

4) Locate the consultants who can help you in job search. Tell about the kind of job you are looking for and give them your updated resume.

5) A cold can also be beneficial to find a good job. Here you can take help from your acquaintances working with the hiring team. Try to dig out the contact details of the human resources of different organization and call them on your own to find out any job opening. Send your resume to them if possible so that it can be added to their database. It increases the chances of selection because initially they will look for the details of those candidates only whose resume they already have.

6) Visit different organizations and hand over your resume personally. Meet the person concerned, if possible. Sometimes the presentation works more than the skills you acquire for a job. It’s all about how you sell yourself.

7) The interview usually starts with the question “Tell me about yourself”. In response to this question, the interviewer doesn’t want to know all about your family, childhood , schooling etc but to understand your skills, qualifications and experience to fit in for the job profile you have applied for and your future goals. Prepare for it well before appearing for interview so that you should not stammer while answering it. Keep it simple and small for not more than 2 minutes duration. Concentrate on the pitch as the interviewer dislikes the robotic speech. Practice on your pitch before someone who can give you feedback.

8) List down all your skills that makes you more competent for the job applied for. The interviewer would love to hear about it. You are judged on the parameters of logical and analytical thinking, strong communication and inter personal skills and the technological ability that includes the current knowledge. The interviewer regards the ability to provide sensible solutions, expressing the views effectively through verbal and written communication and working with different people from different walks of life. Besides, try to speak English as interviewers like to hire English speaking candidates.

9) The organization looks for such candidates who can work for their betterment and growth. You should convince them with the ways you can help them in achieving their organization goals. You resume and your replied should speak the same. Analyze your abilities and then show your desire to help them.

10) Your attire is your first impression during an interview so dress appropriately as if it’s your first day at job.

It is not possible to find a job in one day so do not lose heart and courage. Be confident and move ahead until you land a job best suited to you.
