How to resize an image to 1080 x 1080 resolution

It is the standard (or required) size of the Xbox One gamerpic. Any picture you want to use as your Xbox live profile should be HD cropped to a square (at least of 1080 x 1080 size). Therefore, if you want your picture to appear accurately as gamerpic, make sure it is of correct required resolution. If the image has any other resolution or shape, then you can easily correct it. Here is an app that is available on the Microsoft Store, and you can use it to resize any image.

Follow the steps below to get the app and resize any image on your easily.

Open ‘Microsoft Store’ on your device.
Then search for the app ‘Polarr.’ Polarr is the name of the app that resizes images.
Select and download the app to your device. You can install the app on your mobile from its app store.
Open the ‘Polarr’ app on your device.
After finishing the introduction, click on ‘Open Photos.’
Browse the folder of the photo you want to use and select it. You can set any image as your gamerpic, either it is your picture, a cartoon character, superhero, nature, or random.
Once the picture opens in Polarr app, click on the ‘Crop tool.’
Select aspect (1:1), this will turn the selecting tool in a square.
Now, drag and adjust the photo in the square. Make sure the part of the picture you want to show up on the gamerpic is in the square section or highlight.
Click on blue ‘Checkmark’ at the right side to proceed to save.
Then click on ‘Save’ (up arrow) icon.
Click on ‘Presets’ options.
Then open dropdown options and select ‘Instagram post.’
Now, click ‘Save a copy.’
Enter a name the new picture and choose a location you can access easily.

The picture has been saved in the correct required resolution. Now, only you have to upload it for your gamerpic. Below both methods are given, you can use any one according to the device you currently have.

How to edit and change your Xbox live profile or gamerpic on Xbox One

Press your Xbox One controller’s ‘Xbox’ button to access guide menu.
Go to ‘Profile’ and select ‘My profile’ by pressing ‘A’ button on the controller.
Select ‘Customize profile’ from the options.
Then choose ‘Change gamerpic.’
Highlight ‘Upload a custom image’ and select it. When the UWP File Picker app opens, browse the folder contains the image you want to use and choose the image. If you wish to open a different app, then use ‘View’ key of your controller.
Select the picture when you find it. After selecting the image, you’ll be prompt to crop it, use the tool to modify the picture.
Lastly, select ‘Upload.’

Now, wait for the verification of your gamerpic, Microsoft takes a maximum of two minutes to verify the image. Once it succeeds, your gamerpic will change.

Launch the ‘Xbox’ app.
Open your profile.
Click your gamerpic or select ‘Switch to gamerpic.’
Click ‘Choose a custom picture.’

Modify the image and hit ‘Upload.’

Wait for two minutes, and here is your new gamerpic.
