How to Download Books from Google Play Books

You can access and download ebooks from Google Play Books library on an Android, iOS, and PC. Use the Google Play Books app on your mobile device and Google Play Books website on a computer to download and read your books. With the app, you can read your books and magazines even without internet or data connection. Here is how to download Google Books on your device.

How to download books and magazines on computer

You can only download the books and magazines that you own. If you don’t have any book in your Google Play Books library, then first you need to add them to your library.

Note: You can’t download the book samples on the computer.

1.    Open your computer’s browser.

2.    Search for “https://play.google.com/books” to visit Google Books website.

3.    Enter your Google account email address and password to log in, if you’re not.

4.    After login, you’ll see your books list on your screen.

5.    Scroll through your books to find a book to download.

6.    Or click ‘My books’ in the left side menu to find your purchased books.

7.    When you find a book to download, click the ‘More’ icon.

8.    Click ‘Download PDF’ or ‘Download EPUB’ in the dropdown menu to download in the format you want.

9.    Choose a location to save the book, if asked.

10.    And confirm your download.

If the book is downloaded in ACSM file format, then you need to convert it into readable PDF.

To convert the ACSM file into PDF format, follow the steps:

1.    With your computer’s browser, visit “ebook.online.convert.com/convert-to-pdf/.”

2.    Click on ‘Choose file’ at the top.

3.    Select the downloaded eBook’s ACSM file.

4.    Click ‘Open.’

5.    Click on ‘Convert file’ button near the bottom.

6.    Wait for the file conversion process to complete.

The PDF file will download automatically when the conversion process completes.

How to download books and magazines on iPhone and iPad

You can only download the books and magazines that you owned. If you don’t have any book in your Google Play Books library, then first you need to add them to your library.

•    Google Play Books app is available on App Store for free. If you don’t have in your iPhone or iPad, download it from there.

1.    Open the ‘Play Books’ app.

2.    Select your account name or enter email address and password for login.

3.    After login, open ‘Menu’ from the top-left corner.

4.    Open ‘Library.’ You’ll see your downloaded books list.

5.    Scroll through your books to find a book to download.

6.    When you find a book to download, click the ‘More’ icon.

7.    Select ‘Download’ from the prompt.

Once your books get downloads, you can open it in your iPhone or iPad and read whenever you want even without internet and cellular data.

How to download books and magazines on Android
