Spotify allows users to stream music through a free account. Hence, you can cancel the paid subscription plan and use the free version. But if you wish to delete the playlists and settings from Spotify, it is possible to delete your Spotify account permanently. Here are steps for removing the Spotify account:

 1. Sign in to your Spotify account and make sure you don’t have a current premium plan.

2. Cancel the subscription plan first if it is active and then go to the contact form page of Spotify.

3. You can get the contact form by clicking on the ‘Close Account’ option from the Account Help page of Spotify.

4. Select the  ‘I want to close my account permanently’ option over there and then hit the ‘Close account’ button to delete your Spotify account permanently.

In this way, you can easily cancel the purchased subscription plan and delete your Spotify account completely!
