1) The very first step to apply for a refund is to contact the Southwest airlines as soon as possible when you want a refund. You may request for a refund online from Southwest Airlines official site by logging in to your account and fill some of the personal information such as name, phone number, email address etc. You may request a refund from the counter agent or by calling the airline customer care number. You can also apply for refund if your purchases were made over the Internet through different travel sites. In the case of refund, most companies prefer to handle each customer personally. 

2) The second step is to select items that you would like to request a refund for as there may be many purchases that are linked to your reservation. So, select items quickly by adding flights. 

3) Explain the reason for your refund request for your cancelled Southwest Airlines reservations. If the reason of the refund is the fault of the Southwest airline or due to natural occurrence, the Southwest airlines might refund the price of the ticket as a travel voucher without any fees. You may evaluate how much your refund will cost during the process. If the refund request is due to a missed flight, schedule change or other non – airline caused reason, then the airline will assess a fee of up to $ 150 per domestic ticket or $200 per international tickets.
