Solution 1: Confirm Use TLS 1.0 is checked, and Use TLS 1.1 and Use TLS 1.2 are unchecked in Internet Explorer

  1. Firstly, close your QuickBooks Desktop program.

  2. Secondly, open Internet Explorer.

  3. After that click Tools >> Internet Options.

  4. Now, click the Advanced tab.

  5. Then, under Settings, look to find the Use TLS 1.0, Use TLS 1.1, and Use TLS 1.2 choices. (You may not track down these choices in your Internet Explorer variant.)

  6. After that, confirm Use TLS 1.0 is checked.

  7. Also, confirm Use TLS 1.1 and Use TLS 1.2 are not checked.

  8. Now, click OK to close the window.

  9. Close Internet Explorer.

  10. Reboot your PC. When restarted, reopen QuickBooks Desktop.

  11. Finally, attempt to download the update once more.

Solution 2: Restart Windows in “Selective Startup”


You can fix the Error 15215 with the following steps:

  1. Firstly, close QuickBooks Desktop.

  2. Then on your PC, pick Run. See the list underneath for your form of Windows:

Windows XP: Choose Start >> Run.

Windows 7 and Vista: Choose Start >> All Programs >>Accessories >> Run.

Windows 8 and 10: Press the Windows key and letter R on your keyboard.

  1. Now in the Run field, enter MSConfig. Click OK.

  2. Then System Configuration Utility opens.

  3. After that, select Selective Startup and clear the Load Startup Items checkbox.

  4. Click OK to save your changes.

  5. Restart your PC as provoked.

  6. After restarting the PC, resume QuickBooks and download the most recent tax table.

  7. After downloading the update, follow stages 1 to 4 to return to the System Configuration Utility.

  8. Now, choose the Normal Startup checkbox. Click OK.

  9. Restart the PC once more.
