Home Remedies For Vaginal Infection - Treat This Infection Naturally

Tea tree oil is renowned for such properties and it is actively fighting infections. Insert a tampon soaked in tea tree oil in the vagina every night for three or four consecutive days. No more than a few drops of oil are necessary.

Garlic is also one of the natural remedies for this infection which has powerful antifungal properties. It is recommended in all sorts of infections. You can either take it internally or use it topically, on the outer parts of the vagina. Apply garlic directly or garlic paste. It might provoke a burning sensation, but it kills bacteria and fungi.

Herbs can be effective home remedies for vaginal infection. Calendula is highly recommended for douching. Make an infusion by adding 12 teaspoons of calendula to some boiling water. Steep the infusion, let it cool of and then use for douching.

Some women have found relief if they have used honey. It is indeed one of the messiest home remedies for vaginal infection, but its antibacterial properties compensate for this. You have to apply honey locally and to keep it for at least fifteen minutes. Wash it off carefully with warm water until there is no honey left on the skin.

Together with home remedies for vaginal infection, you also have to take some preventive measures. Use cotton underwear and avoid cosmetic products such soaps because they can irritate the area and worsen the infection.
