Home and Garden Winter Sales

by Melissa Vera blogger

Decorating your lawn and garden does not to break the bank. There are several things that you can do to save money on your lawn and garden. First check your local home improvement store for plants and decorations that are discounted. There are many times that plants are discounted because they are past their shelf live and are considered dead. We recently added a deck to our shade and added a garden next to it this past fall and by shopping those clearance sections I was able to purchase a lot more plants than I would have been able to do if I was paying full price. With a little tender loving care the plants sprung back to life, I have gotten so many compliments on how our pallet garden looks. The next tip is try to reuse found items. We made the deck out small wooden pallets that we are able to get from my husband's work. Also depend on the kindness of friends and families, one of friends recently moved and offered us all her landscaping bricks and a hammock free of charge, of course we took it. Remember when decorating your lawn and garden you don't have to gardener on payroll to make your home the envy everyone on the block.
