High Rise Buildings – An unaddressed segment in Pakistan real estate

by Julie Robert marketing analyst

The land of Pakistan is fertile for the real estate investments because it offers grand opportunities of securing notable returns on investments. Please read the full length article here.

Now the development of properties in Pakistan has taken a new drive, as the developments of today are more inclined towards state of the art architectural ideas and lavish living aspects. Zameen.com, a property portal of Pakistan, perceives that even though the real estate sector is flourishing but there is segment, which is unaddressed and needs attention of the investors and other related authorities. That unaddressed sector is High-rise buildings.

Even though the versatility is great when we talk about the properties for sale in Pakistan, but to add up further, the segment of high-rise buildings is required to be given due consideration.

You may see some multi storey buildings in the major cities like Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad, but the concept of such buildings seems to be somehow alien in other cities of the country. ‘

Through this post, I want to give a message to the investors and real estate tycoons, both local and foreign, that there is a room available in Pakistan real estate for giving vent to high-rise buildings and multi-storey apartment complexes. The country is no short of resources when it comes to real estate developments. The point is to give this segment a kick start. So, in my opinion, the real estate investors can get a good business out of this unattended niche of Pakistan real estate.

Pakistan can consider other developed countries as an example, where this segment is given due consideration. The development in this segment can change its infrastructure majorly. Government can think of devising some provisions so that an impetus for the development of high-rise buildings in Pakistan could be created.  For instance, the government can give tax-rebates to attract the investors.

The development of this segment can also prove beneficial to the end-users. The high-rise buildings can either be used for mixed purposes or solely for the residential or commercial needs. End users can materialize multiple benefits from these buildings. The trend of flat system is also less familiar in Pakistan, so the multi-storey apartment complexes can provide a range of options to the citizens. Plus, commercial plazas can become a hub of business and trade.

So, the options are many, but there is a need of investing in this niche of development. Even the big developers like DHA and Bharia Town can play a major role in this niche. But a major role is yet to be played by the Government of Pakistan, which should come forward with implementation plans for the development of this division. And if this segment would get a hike, there is a chance that the tourism sector of Pakistan will also flourish. And also job opportunities can be created.

Let’s spread this message to the max, so that the Government may start thinking about the real development in this segment and the developers may also come forward with some effective plans.
