Have Fun in Exciting Places with Flights to Las Vegas

by Daisy Wilkinson Travel Guides

Las Vegas is renowned across the world for its fabulous offerings in entertainment and is a place where you can experience endless fun and excitement. It has all kinds of possibilities for tourists who are on the lookout for some doses of thrills. As the sun goes down in the evening, this American city wakes up to sparkles and lights all around along with some glamorous recreations of all the famous attractions around the world. Most of the hotels and resorts located in this part of the United States of America (USA) are among the wonderful attractions you'll get to explore during your holiday spent in the city.

You can book your flights to Las Vegas well in advance and utilise the savings made on your booking while exploring the most popular attractions in the city. Among them is the central section of Las Vegas Boulevard that stretches to more than a couple of miles and is known as 'The Strip'. This street is lined with some massive entertainment complexes and most of them have been built with a theme. Inside these complexes are elegant performance venues, fine-dining restaurants, and luxurious rooms. You'll have loads of fun taking a stroll along The Strip and witnessing some dazzling display of lights.

Don't miss the Fremont Street Experience while holidaying in this city. Fremont Street is an area only for the pedestrians and gives you the chance to have some unique experiences, such as walking through a canopy of LED lights above you that illuminate in spectacular colours and designs. Every night, the people walking the street get to enjoy some entertaining music and visual shows overhead, popularly called the Fremont Street Experience. You can also watch some talented performers showcasing their skills outdoors. This street is located just a few kilometres away from The Strip.

At the far end of Linq Promenade is located a giant Ferris Wheel having a height of more than 167 metres called the High Roller Ferris Wheel. It is currently the tallest Ferris wheel in the world and opened to the public in 2014. The passenger cabins or capsules of this Ferris wheel can accommodate up to 40 individuals and gives you awe-inspiring views of the city, particularly during the night. One full rotation takes about 30 minutes to complete. After sunset, the wheel gets illuminated by a system of 2,000 LED lights and has custom displays during holidays and special events.

While in Las Vegas, you can visit a unique museum called the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement or 'The Mob Museum'. It has been housed in a Neoclassical building, which dates back to the early 20th century and was used in those times as a post office and courthouse. The famous Kefauver Committee hearings were held here in the mid-20th century, which exposed some ugly truths about the organised crimes that were happening not only in Las Vegas but across the country. You'll be intrigued by the mob history in America revealed through some interactive and engaging video clips and displays in this museum.
