Guide to Buy TV

by Manoj Vijay SEO Manager At Xerve

We all want the largest of the TVs in our living rooms, but not all of us have that kind of money to shell out in the market. After all the major brands like Samsung and LG have jumped into the LED TV race, the smaller brands like Intex and Micromax have joined along to compete.

So, if you are looking forward to buying an affordable LED TV here are eight things you should look out for.

1.    Minimum viewing distance

If you are thinking of buying a 55 inch LED TV, please make sure that your room is in a state to accommodate a minimum viewing distance of 9 feet at max. Just because you can buy a 55inch television at the price super affordable these days does not necessarily mean you should buy it right away. Take the thorough measurements of your room first, decide the positioning and placement of the TV, it’s not usually recommended to purchase LED, anything below 32 inches, for a better view the minimum distance should be at least 4 feet and for the bigger size measuring from 40 to 48 inch, the recommended distance would be at least 7 feet.

2.    Avoid HD ready TVs

720p HD ready models could also be a nice choice for the households that are heavily dependent on the set-top boxes but for the customer line that is into movies or Xbox and plays stations, it is highly advisable to go for 1080p-HD resolution is a must. If there’s a possibility of stretching the budget slightly then it’s better to buy a Full HD 1080p TVs rather than 720p HD Ready TVs. It, however, depends upon the size of the room and the budget of the client.  There are multiple online offers running for electronics at any point in time.

3.    Prefer size to smart features

Any wise buyer would go for a bigger TV with simpler features rather than a smaller TV with smart features for the same price available in the market. The smart technology hype might attract you to its features but ultimately the satisfaction of owning a bigger TV with the same price for your room is at par.

4.    Main content source

Everything has a purpose. You always think of a purpose before taking a step ahead when it comes to purchasing. TV is an essential household/commercial requirement as well as a status symbol for some people. Hence it is very important to know and understand exactly the purpose and utilization of buying a television. Think, exactly what you are going to do with it, be clear about your requirements and it will help you decide on getting the right and suitable model. If you mostly use for the content of set top box then you can ditch the extra features and stick to a big screen, if you will our content on flash drives then you should go for a tv model that can support and accommodate such files.

5.    Sound

It’s a spoiler alert that even the expensive high-end TVs don’t come with the speakers you would expect them to have. The picture quality might impress you but the audio can still disappoint you to a great extent. Hence, you should get a sound bar along with the large TV or put in more funds for 2.1 channel speakers.

6.    Connectivity

If there are uses apart from the set-top box connections then make sure there are connectivity ports like HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack, USB ports and other AV ports along with the Bluetooth, so that you don’t fall short of any connections after you’ve already purchased the TV.
