Software Engineering

The Study of designing, developing, and maintaining software is commonly known as Software Engineering. Software Engineering is the domain of computer science. It purely deals with the making of operating systems and software. This field is growing rapidly, in Pakistan.

Career Scope of Software Engineering in Pakistan

Employment opportunity: The continuous advancement in the Information technology of Pakistan has saturated the engineering industry. Software engineers are high in demand in the private sector as well as in the government sector. 

Growing sector: The workplaces are transforming. The world is experiencing a global advancement in IT. Pakistan is also catching up with the external environment and growing rapidly. 

Value for work: The average salary of a software engineer is 40K to 70k. The variations in salary are dependent upon the experience that person possesses.


Petroleum Engineering 

Petroleum engineering is the study of hydrocarbon and its activities. Hydrocarbons are crude oil and natural gas. Pakistan is rich in natural resources so the management of these hydrocarbons is the domain of petroleum engineers. Petroleum engineers are responsible for locating the reservoirs of hydrocarbons in the country along with the extraction of hydrocarbons.

Employment Opportunities: Every year, many oil and gas organizations hire a huge number of petroleum engineers at handsome salary packages. For example, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, etc. these companies offer high pays to petroleum engineers. 

Growing Sector: In this regard, the Oil industry of Pakistan is highly important. There are massive exploration activities involved in development projects, so the demand gets higher due to such developments. 

Value for work: Due to the shortage of petroleum engineers in Pakistan, salaries are extremely high for petroleum engineers. The average salary of a petroleum engineer is from PKR 5,00,000 to PKR 10,00,000.
