Google Penguin Update – April 2012
Google'™s
Penalization for Over Optimization
Penguin is the latest update to Inbound Digital Marketing Agency in New York
Google’s Algorithm and
was introduced on 24th of April 2012. It was basically updated by Google in
order to flag the websites that are over optimized (for ‘œkeyword stuffing’ and ‘œbad link schemes’).
Penguin has affected nearly 3% searches on Google across the globe. Most of the
websites that are affected by the Google Penguin update were involved in
keyword stuffing and bad link schemes (getting lots of back links with the same
anchor text). The main objective of this update was to just improve the quality
of search result pages. In light of these changes, it is advisable to keep your
keyword density not more than 2% within your content. So please try to get
quality and thematic back links with different anchor text.
Penguin 1.1 Data Refresh
After the Penguin update in April, 2012 Google’™s Matt Cutts announced the news of ‘œData
Refresh’ in the month of May, 2012 on Twitter
calling it a Penguin 1.1 Data Refresh. It had affected <0.1% English
searches. This update effects only small part of English Searches.
It’s obviously time to say no to keyword stuffing and
unnatural links.
