Google finally allows site owners to disavow links, harming website quality
by Ashish Kumar Internet MarketingGoogle yet again wowed users with its interesting addition to the Webmaster tool, which will allow site owners (who are the victim of negative/unnatural backlinks) disavow links.
Sealing this announcement, Google’s Matt Cutts quoted, “If you believe your site’s ranking is being harmed by low-quality links you do not control, you can ask Google not to take them into account when assessing your site.”
Low quality spammy link-backs flashes negative light on the site’s
page rank. Low page ranking may urge Google to take down the website.
Some owners give more importance to backlinks, so much that they land up
outsourcing it to the immature SEO professionals, who have no linking
sense. And owners syndicate those unnatural all over the place with some
very keyword rich anchor text. This action affects the page ranking.
Therefore, Google recommends removing those links from the web, for
those which are difficult to be removed; they can disavow the remaining
links.
