Jewellery is one of those adornments to an outfit that has the power to portray any culture or tradition beautifully. A beautiful hair ornament, 'Jadanagam', portrays the traditional jewellery of South India, Hyderabadi jewellery is known for the extravagant foot ornament, 'pahzeb', and the Traditional Maharashtrian jewellery can never be seen without the pearl 'Nath'. Each jewellery piece has its way of signifying the cultural legacy of that state.

Bollywood divas are the epitome when it comes to jewellery inspiration and jewellery ideas. Their wedding costumes, the dresses worn by them in movies, festivals etc. are always a guide to carry the look flawlessly. The Traditional Maharashtrian look has been the most sought after one, be it Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in Bajirao Mastani, or Kajol in Tanhaji, or Genelia D'Souza in her wedding outfit all of them managed to look hardcore Marathi Mulgis!

Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra adorned the Marathi look in the movie Bajirao Mastani. Decoding the look we find various aspects that contributed towards making the look ethereal.

The Maharashtrian look can never go without wearing the beautiful 'Nath'. The duo wore the pearl and Kundan Nath which gave the Maratha touch to their look.

'Tushi', most important aspect of the Traditional Maharashtrian jewellery, also complemented the look of these Bollywood divas and made them look ultimately beautiful. The amazing Tushi set had intricate designing and multiple layers of gold chains and pearl chains.

'Ambada', the hair jewellery that decorates the beautifully made hair bun, enhanced the entire look of the duo. Ambada is typically a bun pin, made in gold and studded with Kundan and beads throughout.

The ear cuff acted like a cherry on the cake. Ear cuffs are symbolic of the rich Maharashtrian culture. they are worn along with heavy jhumkis and are made in gold. The pearl-studded ear cuff made the look extremely charming.

Last but not the least, glass green bangles worn in between pearl bracelets, are specific Maharashtrian jewellery worn by married women. These beautiful bangles are the best accessory in Traditional Maharashtrian jewellery.

Though the jewellery was the main attraction of their look, their dress, the Navari sari was also very crucial to make the look complete in all ways. The beautiful violet and golden Navari silk sari worn along with Maharashtrian ornaments made them look pitch-perfect.

Kajol, carried the Marathi Mulgi look in the latest blockbuster Tanhaji, the traditional Maharashtrian dress, worn by the actress was appreciated by all. Beautiful pearl Nath, along with glass green bangless and the gold bun pin completed her look. She kept the look minimal and included only core Maharshtrain ornaments. One cannot miss the 'chand bindi' that she wore on the forehead, which is typical in Marathi women.

Actress Genelia D'Souza wore the traditional bridal headgear made out of pearls and beads. It complimented her bridal look elegantly and gave the required Maharashtrian touch. Also, the complete gold Nath was the one to die for!

Actresses including Madhuri Dixit Nene, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Juhi Chawla sported the traditional dress of Maharashtra at various festivals including Ganesh Visarjan and Gudi Padwa. They kept minimal on the jewellery, their Navari Saris, along with Kohlapuri Footwear made them look simple yet elegant in their way.
