Global Businesses Moving on the Translation Trajectory

by The Yellow Coin PR Agency in Delhi

Businesses and people are expanding but the world is shrinking day by day. Now, Delhi to London is no more a ten-hour journey, but with the advent of the high-speed internet, one can land to the destination in ten-odd seconds riding on a mouse and moving on clicks. Technology erases the geographical divide and translation overcomes language barriers. BRICS the most powerful group of world's emerging economies is most diversified in languages too. Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa all have a different national language but the business relationship between these countries is even more effective than the Eurozone. All this is possible with the growth of translation and interpretation industry. From Samsung to Skoda and Volks Wagon to Toyota all the popular brands in India are from Non-Hindi speaking countries and people of these countries are not even comfortable with English, but they are performing well in the Indian market and their success owes to translation companies.

Ms. Geeta Singh, Founder & Director of TYC Communication, a New Delhi based translation agency said "Translation business is booming in today's globalised economy. Whether it is tourism, health, education or automobiles every industry and sector required a good translation agency if it wants to operate in the international market."

Organisations which are expanding and serving to international customers must be able to communicate effectively in the language of the target audience and here the scope of translation agencies widen for an expatriate firm. Though service sector offers more opportunities, the existence of manufacturing and trading companies too is dependent on translation and interpretation services in the age of globalisation.

A translator doesn’t only be skilful and well-versed with the foreign language but at the same time, he must be familiar with the cultures of two nations because a wrong interpretation of the culture can ruin the entire marketing campaign and sometimes led the marketer into the failure zone. This is the sole reason for hiring native translators as they can better understand the culture, ethos, aspirations, and sentiments of the local market than a non-native translator.

In the internet age, where people prefer to buy products and services from the e-commerce sites, the web world can't overlook the importance of language translation. Those who are relying on machine translation services are not saving money, but they are inexperienced entrepreneurs who are saving few bucks at the cost of a big market loss. Machine-based translation can never be as fine and interactive as the translation made by a human.
