Every time a company publish a new program or a product, or actually before they do, they need tester to see that everything work as intended. Therefore they need "normal" people, outside of the company, to do testing of the program so that website owners, coders, and designers can see and evaluate the obstacles that real people experience with their products.

Because of user testers, they are - hopefully - able to catch those obstacles and fix them before sending out those products to the outside world or consumers. User testers are very valuable to the online world, and so it is great to be able to get paid to test websites and apps.
