GATE 2016 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2016) that powered by IISc (Indian Institute of Science) and IITs (Indian Institute of Technology). GATE is a National Level test conducted for testing the core subject knowledge of the applicants and aptitude in the subjects of Engineering.   GATE 2016 Question paper pattern:-

            In the GATE 2016 exam all papers, there will be a total of 65 questions for the total of 100 marks, out of which 10 questions are based on “General aptitude” carrying a maximum of 15 marks and remaining 55 questions are from the core subject of the discipline carrying 85 marks.

            Candidates from several subjects can appear in this examination. GATE includes these following papers in this examination where you can select your paper according to your subjects.

The GATE 2016 would comprise question of 2 different types as mention below:

Multiple Choice Question (MCQ):- The MCQ type questions carrying 1  or 2 marks in each part of test paper, these questions will have a choice of four options for every single question out of which the students will have to pick only one correct answer.

Numerical Answer Question (NAQ):- The NAQ is carrying 1 or 2 marks in every part of the question paper no choice will be shown for these questions. The Answer is a real number of these questions that have to be entered by the candidate using virtual keypad.
