by Steven Jones Owner
People around the world (especially in the United States of America (USA)) try crazy and weird contact lenses for many different reasons. These special-effect lenses are no longer just for Halloween or any other costume-party parties in the US. Some of us who are living in the US would want to decorate your natural colored eyes with what lens manufacturing companies called as crazy contact lenses. The lenses have evolved as something more than just a way for correcting your vision with different types of advancements that have been made in the field of special effects in the movies and television shows in the United States of America.  Different uses of the special contact lenses such as crazy or weird lenses are briefly discussed in this post.

Different uses of crazy lenses

Crazy lenses will make your natural colored eyes like that of ghosts, aliens, and zombies. It allows you to take the persona you are trying to represent to a whole new level. The lenses are not only limited to animal or horror movie characters.  It is essential to understand that there are a number of looks and designs in which these special effect contact lenses are available in the US.

Based on your precise needs, you can try out wearing glow in the dark contact lenses to creating the truly crazy look and appearance of your eye. If you want something more delicate and sweet then you can try wearing ladybug eyes or daisies contact lenses.

October is one of the most popular months for the purpose of considering Crazy Contact Lenses right before the Halloween. Wearing weird lenses would provide the finishing touch that turns a great Halloween costume into something really amazingly stupendous costume.

It is essential to understand that purchasing contact lenses (whether prescription or Plano contacts) requires you to get prescription from a certified eye doctor in the US. Even if you don’t have any vision problem, you have to get a prescription as the contact lenses are categorized into medical devices by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US. The validity of the prescription is one year, which means that you have to get a new prescription after one year to purchase contact lenses.

Why is prescription necessary?

It is necessary because the use of poor quality prescription lenses purchased through the unauthorized beauty centers and eye clinics can result in eye infections. In addition, some individuals have reported redness of eye with severe pain after using poor quality contacts. Some cases, the use of poor quality lenses can even result in permanent damage to vision. Contacts don’t come in “all size fit all”, which means that the lenses are prescribed based on your eye after carrying out some essential analysis and tests.
