Foundation Move, Try Self-drilling Anchor Bolt Support

For all buildings, the foundation pit needs to be supported before construction. There are many methods for foundation pit support now, and the geological conditions applicable to each method are different. However, by comparison, self-drilling hollow bolt support is a more convenient and effective support method.

How many methods of foundation support are there?

1. Grading and excavation
It is suitable for shallow foundation pits with a depth of not more than 7m in soft soil areas, and the excavation depth of foundation pits in areas with better soil conditions can be appropriately deepened.
Advantages: low cost, simple construction
Disadvantage: Not suitable for silt, loose-fill soil

2. Soil nail wall
It is suitable for shallow foundation pits with a depth of less than 5m in soft soil areas. The excavation depth of foundation pits in areas with better soil conditions can be appropriately deepened, but the maximum depth is not more than 12m.
Soil nails include steel pipe soil nails and reinforced soil nails, and some projects use prestressed anchor rod soil nails. In this case, self-drilling hollow bolts are usually used for prestressed bolts, and the reinforcement effect is better.

3. Cement-soil gravity retaining wall
It is suitable for foundation pits without environmental protection requirements and the depth is not more than 7m. When there are environmental protection requirements, the excavation depth is not more than 5m.
Applicable to all geological conditions, but in the case of silt geology and thick loose-fill layer, the cement content needs to be increased.

4. Shaped steel cement soil mixing wall
The digging depth is about 15m, which is suitable for almost all geological conditions.

5. Pile row
The digging depth is about 20m, which is suitable for almost all geological conditions, but the cost is high.

6. Floor wall
It is suitable for all deep foundation pits and all geological conditions. The construction is difficult and the cost is extremely high.

What are the advantages of self-drilling hollow bolt support?

The self-drilling hollow bolt integrates drilling, grouting, and anchoring. It is more suitable for loose and broken geology. It is a convenient and efficient support method. It is often used in soil nailing walls and has the following advantages :
1. The construction efficiency is high, and the efficiency is several times higher than that of ordinary anchor rods or steel bar anchorage construction.
2. The construction process is simple, and the grouting and anchoring construction can be completed in one drilling.
3. The surface of the rod body has continuous threads, which can be cut at any position or lengthened by connecting sleeves to meet different drilling depths
