Florence , Italy Wedding in Villa Montefiano Balcony

by Charles Leonard weddings To say I was obsessed with this splendid fête Florence Villa Montefiano Garden would be the understatement of the year. And 'literally it is dripping in pretty, bridal wear , we knew we wanted to have in Italy. They are American she met her future husband in a pub Italian in Florence. We fell in love on quick trips for ice cream, cheese American movies dubbed in Italian, and walks around our neighborhoods Florentines favorite. When we got engaged, it seemed natural that we had our wedding in the place where we met, fell in love and now call home together.

When we started looking at places, our main goal was to find something that we could not keep both our ceremony and reception, with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the warm weather of late summer in Tuscany. Villa Montefiano, a 16th century residence located on a hill overlooking Florence, was the perfect fit. Not only the villa itself beautiful, but offered a series of lush gardens and terraces that we could use for our party. The background of the scene are paired perfectly with the wedding dress I bought from Bridesire.


Although none of us has had a particular theme for the wedding, I wanted it to be romantic and sweet, with a touch of elegance Great Gatsby. My husband just wanted good food and a wedding cake in American style. Our brilliant wedding planner, Rossana took all our ideas and created an evening that seamlessly blended together the best of our American traditions and Italian. Every detail of flowers and candles at the table confetti and groups of seats intimate perfectly reflects our vision for the wedding.

Our ceremony took place just before sunset; golden light, light breeze, and in the background Tuscan have created an almost ethereal. My husband said his vows in Italian and I said my English. It not only made the ceremony understood by guests Italian and English, but also gave us the opportunity to express something so meaningful to each other in our first languages. I remember feeling so happy that I married a wonderful man, surrounded by our loved ones over the city where it all began.
