Travel to the five beautiful villages in Tuscany and experience the beautiful nature and views. The five villages are for sure places you will enjoy to go due to the beautiful features such as beautiful gardens, architectural structures, and ancient sceneries.

 

The Villages


Celtado is an attractive town in Tuscany that is divided into medieval, upper part and is surrounded by walls that are well fortified. This town is an ancient part of medieval structure that has churches, towers, praetorian palace, and fortifications. It was conquered from

Florence in1184 and grew fast after semifonte was destroyed. The Preotorio palace is a beautiful view in this city built on the hilltop. The front of the palace is decorated with ceramics and various stones. The city has various beautiful museums such as sacred art museum, museum of Pretorian palace. These museums preserve the ancient archaeological findings preserved by the roman and Etruscans. The sacred house museum houses the important church works such as a child with the saint and the enthroned Madonna.

 

This town is primitive, is situated on the hill slopes, and is rich in art and history. It has ancient walls that enclose its paved streets that have historical buildings, impressive churches, shadowy cloisters, and stone houses. This region is agricultural with oil mills, wineries, and holiday resorts that allow one to try traditional dishes and local products. This town retains is traditions as it keeps its magical festivals that are folklore and history inspired. These entertaining festivals are performed throughout the year as the town provides a conducive environment for the same.


Monteriggioni village is a medieval town on the low part of the hill that is surrounded by circular walls that has 14 towers. The 570 meters walls with 14 square towers are the main feature of this town. There are two gates and an attractive church with a Romanesque-gothic style. A medieval festival is celebrated in July where people wear the ancient clothes.


Montepulciano is a town in Tuscany that is rich in agriculture and well known for its Nobile wine. It’s located on a hilltop and is encircled by the works of Antonio da Sangallo. This town has well-preserved several artistic treasures and architectural jewels not to mention its natural beauty. It has a monumental center piazza Grande and a town hall that has a big tower where one can get a beautiful view of the town. Moreover, there is the cathedral, the civic museum called Palazzo Neri-Orselli that exhibits Tuscan paintings. The Santa Lucia church that preserves the Luca Signorelli paintings is also here together with palazzo Bucelli. There are several festivals such as

Bruscello, BraviodelleBotti and Fiera di SantAgnese that take place within the year.


Collodi is a charming town cascading down the hillside and is well preserved with medieval atmosphere and architecture. The beautiful castle called RoccaAntica that is on top of Collodi anchors this town with villa Garzoni located below. Visit the villa Gazoni and experience its beautiful sculptures, gardens, and fountains that were carefully designed.

 

Conclusion

The five villages in Tuscany are pretty cool and one should consider going there for a holiday. Hire a car in Florence to get to either of the five beautiful villages. A car in Florence will link you directly to the village.
