Exploratory

An exploratory case study is usually in line with a large-scale research project. An exploratory case study has one goal, which is to prove that under specific circumstance further investigation might be needed.

This type of case study is prevalent in psychology and social sciences. In Psychology, psychologists always look for better ways to treat patients, and this kind of study allows them to research about new theories and ideas. Many case study writing companies offer case study writing assistance, but before hiring any random company, students must be sure about if that agency has resources to write different types of case studies. 

Multiple-case studies or collective studies

Many times multiple some case studies can be based on previously done multiple case studies. From past studies, students can easily get information about formulating a new study. The use of past studies allows additional information without needing to invest any more resources.

Furthermore, this type of case study can uncover differences as well.

Intrinsic 

An intrinsic case study is that particular study of a case wherein the subject is the primary interest. This type of case study is always frequent in psychology. Like in psychology, it is prevalent that an investigation is based on subjects. This kind of case study tries to reveal how a subject's experiences shape his or her psychological traits.
