Feather Flags Help Promote Your Next Event

by Kevin Smith Author

If you’ve been thinking about ways to promote your next event, look no further! Imagine a set of feather flags swaying in the breeze inviting people to stop by and visit your event. Using flags to advertise ensures the maximum number of potential attendees see event details. Flags are like a giant invitation. Here are a few things to consider when making your flag purchase.

What Size Flag Do You Need?

Stock feather flags typically come in heights of either 6 or 12 feet. The location where you plan to place the flags usually determines the size. If you’re limited to a doorway, the smaller 6 ft. size may be the best option. If you’re able to place your flags in a more open area, then often the larger flag works better. If your budget allows, you might consider ordering both sizes so you have more options for placement.

Where Can I Put the Flags?

You want to maximize the number of people who attend your event, especially if it’s a fund raiser. If the event is outside, placing flags as close as possible to a busy street is important, but you want the street to be close to the event location as well. If your event takes place indoors, placing two sets of flags is helpful. One set should be at the street. This is what attracts visitors and lets them know there is something interesting going on near-by. The other set should be placed at the event entrance so attendees know exactly where to go. When you place your flag order, you’ll be able to purchase a pole kit and either ground stakes, a flat base, or a wheel base to help anchor the flags.

What Do the Flags Look Like?

You’ve probably seen feather flags many times as you’ve driven by, or walked past a business. These flags are rectangle shaped and flutter in the wind. Some businesses customize flags with their business name and logo. Other business owners choose to use what is referred to as stock flags. Stock flags are used to promote sales, grand openings, services, and business products using standard images and wording. For example, a pizza business can order a stock flag, with an image of a pizza slice. A car business may order a flag that lets customers know they sell both used and new cars. A church could use a flag to invite people to a holiday event. The uses are endless. Stock flags are great for the business or organization that does not want to spend the money to customize a flag. The flags are brightly colored so customers are quickly attracted to them. You can’t go wrong using feather flags to promote your event.
