Fall in love with your journey with Volaris Airlines Reservations

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Your baggage allowance is set according to the type of Volaris Airlines Reservations you choose: Vuela Basic, Vuela Classic or Vuela Plus.

 Vuela Basic includes:

  • 2 items included in carry-on baggage not more than 22 lb (10 kg) in total and measuring no more than 22.4 x 15.7 x 12.9 in (57 x 40 x 33 cm).
  • Vuela Basic permits you to buy an additional carry-on weight allowance as well as additional checked baggage at the time of booking or in My Trips.

Vuela Classic and Vuela Plus include:

  • 2 items included in carry-on baggage not more than 22 lb (10 kg) in total and measuring no more than 22.4 x 15.7 x 12.9 in (57 x 40 x 33 cm)
  • Checked bag not more than a maximum weight of 55 lb (25 kg).
  • If you want to buy an additional carry-on weight allowance or add checked baggage, you can do so at the time of booking or in My Trips. Please remember that you can travel with up to 5 checked bags.

Carry-on baggage  

Everything that you carry with you personally at Volaris Airlines is included in your carry-on baggage allowance which may be 22 (10 kg) or 44 lb (20 kg) depending on the type of Volaris Airlines Reservations you choose (maximum 2 items).  Checked Baggage

Check-in the highest of 5 bags as long as each one doesn't weigh more than 55 lb (25 kg). If a bag exceeds the weight of 55 lb (25 kg), then it will be subject to an overweight baggage fee. Overweight baggage must be equal to or less than 99.2 lb (45 kg). For more information, please refer to our checked baggage section.

Purchase an extra carry-on weight allowance to travel with all your requirements. You can buy an additional carry-on weight allowance of 22 lb (10 kg) to be split between the 2 items (44 lb (20 kg) total). When you purchase an extra carry-on weight allowance at the time of booking or in My Trips, you will have benefits such as priority boarding and priority to store your carry-on baggage in the overhead compartments. Remember that if your carry-on baggage is oversized or overweight for your type of reservation, it must be checked in and will be subject to additional charges
