Facebook Demands More Money for Its Ad Services

by Gorav H. Digital Marketer and Pro. Blogger

The decrease of nearly 8% of advertisements worldwide has been recently determined by the analysts, who also stated that Facebook and its engagement in the country are gradually falling down. The social network was also reported to demand more money for its service activities in the United States, and the increase has reached the point of more than 41%. These data was provided for the period including the final quarter of 2011 and Q1 2012.

The thing is that the saturation of ad spots on Facebook has become even more intense and now every user comes across seven or even more ads on a page, instead of 4 as it used to be earlier, besides, such an intensity has a very negative impact on the number of click-rates as users are offered a larger choice and variety now. The social network managed to achieve great results and considerate growth of ad prices as demand is still outweighing supply nowadays and this fact will hardly change soon. One of the proofs is that according to the data determined in the previous year, Facebook displayed up to 372 billion ad impressions and approximately 200 countries were involved in this event.

Facebook has much experience in advertising field already and the advertisements the service deal with are not only simple click-through driven, but also the social network drives traffic to a number of popular and large sites as some of the companies, such as for instance Yahoo, The Washington Post and several more, approved users’ intentions to display the stories they have recently read on users Facebook walls and found interesting.
