Explore the best of Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, India

Located in districts of Idukki and Pathanamthitta of the Indian state of Kerala, Periyar is a protected area, nature reserve, wildlife sanctuary, tiger reserve, and national park. Set high in the majestic mountains of the Western Ghats along the border with the Indian state of Tamil Nadu it is one of the most sought-after destinations for wildlife tourism in India. The PNP is also home to seven different amphibian species, 38 different fish species, and 160 different insect species, including butterflies.
