Orlando, one of the popular cities in the United States of America (USA), attracts tourists from various corners of the globe owing to its magnificent theme parks. As a result, it has been nicknamed 'Theme Park Capital of the World'. This city in the USA is also called 'The City Beautiful'. It is one of the places in America where you can have loads of fun and entertainment with your entire family. Universal Studios Florida and Walt Disney World are some of the theme parks that would give you the right doses of thrills during your winter holidays spent in this amazing city.

You would get some attractive discounts on your flights to Orlando and accommodation in hotels or resorts in the city if you plan your holiday for the spring season from March to May. During this time of the year, the climate of this city is extremely pleasant and favourable for sightseeing and other outdoor activities. The peak tourist season in this part of the world is summer. Winter from December to February is also one of the busiest tourist seasons and you'll have to book your flights and holidays several months in advance. You also need to reach the theme parks early in the morning as they usually stop admitting visitors upon reaching their capacity.

During your winter holidays in this city, you can explore its globally-renowned theme parks. Among the most famous ones is Walt Disney World, which has been entertaining its visitors for decades. Yet another popular theme park you can visit while holidaying in the city during winter is Universal Studios Florida, which is a working film studio besides being a theme park. It was designed in consultation with Steven Spielberg, who is one of the leading directors and producers in the world. Don't miss Typhoon Lagoon, which is among the most popular water parks in the city.

While enjoying your holiday in the city, you can also have a wonderful time at Orlando Science Centre. You can learn more about the different branches of science upon visiting this museum, which was created with an intention to promote the understanding of science among the general public. It was incorporated in the mid-20th century as the Central Florida Museum and functioned as a museum of anthropology for nearly 10 years. The name of this museum was changed to Orlando Science Centre in the late 20th century. Among the range of exhibits you'll get to see in this museum are some travelling exhibits. The museum also hosts movie screenings and laser light shows.
