Exploitation of the Masses

by Warren Contreras Old Retired Guy
I find it interesting to look back on the history of our society, to see how people were exploited over the years in periods like the Industrial Revolution and Womens Suffrage where wealthy giants held masses under their thumbs and forced them to supply the needed labor to keep them rich.

With gallant effort and great sacrafice, heros arose to combat these injustices and reward humanity with a better way of life. Now I see the exact same sceanario being played out online every day as History Repeats Itself, while we look on oblivious to the outcome. A FEW becoming very wealthy, on the backs of the masses that think they are being served a free lunch.

Do a little research on Facebook to see this pattern unfolding. People rush to sign up for a free account so they can share images, make comments and generally interact with families, friends and even total strangers, without really realizing that they are supplying the powers that be with massive volumes of valuable traffic to fill their pockets with BILLIONS of dollars in advertising revenue, while they go blindly along having more fun and adding more profits for the owners every day.

Well the Heros are rising again and I plan to assist them every way I can. I may never rise to the ranks of those who directly benefit from this financial shift, but at least I will know I did my part to help someone else get there. Then again, who knows what the result of this revolution will beunless they try?
